Shruti Hardat
Hi there! I am an indian girl finding my way in Germany for the last 7 years. Initially I came here for my masters - in Media Informatics from RWTH Aachen - but slowly fell in love with this lovely country’s language, culture, old-world architecture and of course, the beer! During my masters program, I mainly focused on coursework related to User-Centred Research and Design and Human-Computer Interactions. This is where I developed a passion towards translating user needs into functional and usable products – A passion I have been pursuing regularly for the last few years in my role as UX architect.
I recognise the power well conducted user research - both qualitative and quantitive - holds in creating a product that truly solves the user's problems. My experience has made me a firm believer in identifying the user's needs before diving into creating a solution. However, research must not end there. It must be an ongoing process throughout the development of the solution and must be used as a tool to constantly verify whether the users' and stakeholders' visions align with each other. This strategy - combined with an agile methodology - forms the foundation of my problem-solving process in the large variety of complex projects I have been fortunate enough to work on.
Not to forget, my strong backing in computer science helps me also speak the developers’ language, making me the right person to bridge the gap between the user and the developer. Therefore I fit right into a multidisciplinary team!
